Construction and materials

The steering wheel is finished with high-quality leather, which translates into a surface that is pleasant to the touch while being resistant to wear. The black color of the upholstery blends well with the factory interior styling of the Ford Focus Mk2 ST, making it easy to maintain a consistent, toned-down cockpit look. The leather rim improves vehicle control, especially during dynamic driving, ensuring a stable grip in various road conditions.

Purpose and fitment

The presented steering wheel is a component dedicated to Ford models from the Focus Mk2 family in the ST version, which means maintaining factory geometry and ergonomics. The original Ford construction facilitates installation in place of a worn or damaged part, without the need to modify the steering column or interior. As a result, it is a functional solution both for standard replacement and for restoring vehicle equipment to a specification close to the factory one.

Comfort of use and safety

The leather surface of the rim reduces hand slippage, which is important during frequent city driving and on the road. The ergonomic shape of the rim promotes a natural hand position, reducing fatigue during longer journeys. As an element from the Steering wheels and horn buttons group, the steering wheel works with the factory vehicle control system, acting as an important link between the driver and the steering system.

Characteristics of the used product

As a used part, the steering wheel is a reasonable choice for those looking for an original component at an attractive price compared to new subassemblies. The preserved OEM construction allows for maintaining the factory handling character, and the leather finish, with proper care, can still offer comfortable operation. It is a practical solution for post-accident repairs, replacing a worn rim, or restoring the interior to a condition close to the original.

Technical support and parts selection

In the case of the steering system, it is worth ensuring proper diagnostics and the selection of components that work with the column and power steering. To better understand how the entire system works and the typical symptoms of wear, an article describing the construction and operation of this subassembly will be helpful – check the material: Steering system and power steering – how it works and what breaks?.
