Purpose and fitment

The presented glass is designed as a component mounted in the rear right side of the Ford Fiesta Mk7 body. Its placement in the rear side area of the vehicle ensures proper fitment with the door frame or bodywork and correct interaction with seals and other body components. This maintains airtightness, proper structural rigidity, and effective noise suppression while driving.

Characteristics of AS3 tinted glass

Glass marked with the AS3 class is a solution used in zones where darker tinting is permitted, which translates into better protection against solar radiation. The rear tinted quarter window:

• reduces interior heating on sunny days,
• increases the comfort of passengers in the back seat,
• improves privacy by making it harder to see into the cabin,
• supports visual consistency with other tinted windows. As a result, this element serves as a functional addition to the rear glazing zone, especially in vehicles factory-equipped with tinted windows.

Function in body construction

The rear quarter window plays an important role in stiffening the side of the body and ensuring proper visibility for passengers and the driver. A correctly selected component:

• maintains the proper geometry of the window opening,
• ensures compatibility with original seals and trims,
• minimizes the risk of leaks and unwanted wind noise. Choosing an original glass dedicated to Ford allows you to maintain the factory performance and aesthetic parameters of the vehicle, which is important both for daily use and for the potential resale of the car.

Condition of the component and service application

The offered glass is a used part, which makes it an attractive option for post-accident repairs, replacing damaged glass, or restoring the vehicle to a near-factory state while keeping costs reasonable. This type of component is particularly useful in body shops and service centers specializing in comprehensive bodywork for the Ford Fiesta Mk7.
