Purpose and fitment

The backrest is designed for installation in the rear cabin, on the right side, maintaining the factory geometry and styling lines of the BMW Gran Coupé. This element belongs to the Seat covers group, allowing it to integrate with other upholstery parts without the need for structural modifications. The black color scheme makes it easy to match with standard interior configurations used in this model.

Material and finish

The surface of the backrest is made of black imitation leather, ensuring an aesthetic appearance and ease of cleaning. The material structure has been selected to match BMW factory standards both visually and functionally, providing:

• a consistent shade of black with other upholstery elements,
• appropriate rigidity and stability of the backrest,
• a comfortable contact surface for passengers.

Function in the rear seat

The right rear seat backrest is responsible for providing stable back support for the passenger and proper routing of seat belts and mounting elements, if provided in the specific vehicle configuration. The precise molding of the backrest shape allows for maintaining seating ergonomics and proper alignment with the seat cushion and the center section of the bench. As a result, the vehicle's interior regains its original, orderly appearance after the repair or replacement of a damaged component.

Characteristics of the used part

The backrest comes from dismantling, which means it is a used part that retains its factory construction and mounting parameters. This type of component is particularly beneficial for post-accident repairs or interior restoration, where the priority is to maintain the original BMW specification while optimizing costs. Using a pre-owned upholstery element also helps reduce the consumption of new raw materials, which can be significant from the perspective of conscious vehicle maintenance.
