Purpose and function of the air vent duct

The presented air vent duct is a component of the dashboard air distribution system, responsible for directing air from the main unit to the appropriate vents on the right side of the vehicle. A correctly selected component helps maintain even temperature distribution in the cabin, which is important for both heating and air conditioning efficiency. Using an original solution minimizes the risk of leaks, unwanted noise, and drops in ventilation performance.

Fitment for the Ford Transit Custom Mk8 dashboard

The duct design has been developed specifically for the eighth-generation Ford Transit Custom dashboard, taking into account the shape of the panels, mounting points, and the routing of other cables and hoses. Its placement on the right side of the vehicle ensures proper alignment with factory mounting points, which facilitates service and reduces the time required for replacement. As a result, the component integrates well with the existing ventilation system without the need to modify other parts.

Technical characteristics and installation

As a part from the Hoses, pipes and tubes group, the air vent duct works in conjunction with other air ducts within the dashboard. The engineered routing of the duct allows for smooth airflow while maintaining appropriate rigidity and resistance to typical operational loads inside the vehicle. Installation involves correctly seating it in the designated slots and connecting it to adjacent sections of the ventilation system, which, when following service procedures, ensures a durable and airtight connection.

Benefits of using an original Ford component

Using an air vent duct dedicated to the Ford Transit Custom Mk8 allows you to maintain the factory operating parameters of the ventilation and air conditioning system. Proper fitment to the dashboard reduces the risk of vibrations and unwanted noises while driving, and also facilitates any future service work within the interior. The used component is a sensible choice for users looking for a functional and economical solution while maintaining compatibility with the vehicle's design.
