Purpose and fitment for Ford Kuga Mk2

The presented window glass has been designed specifically for installation in the front left door of the Ford Kuga Mk2, taking into account factory mounting points and guides. The vehicle placement defined as Front, Left means that the component works with the window regulator mechanism, seals, and the exterior mirror on the driver's side (in left-hand drive versions), which is important for both safety and driving ergonomics.

Technical characteristics of AS2 glass

Glass marked with the AS2 symbol belongs to the group of tempered glass with controlled light transmittance, commonly used in the side areas of the body. This type of glass:

• ensures appropriate visibility in various lighting conditions,
• is designed to work with factory seals and guides,
• maintains proper structural rigidity in the door area. As a result, the front left door window maintains parameters similar to those installed at the factory, which facilitates the correct adjustment of the lifting mechanism and minimizes the risk of unwanted noise while driving.

Benefits of using original car glass

Choosing a component from the Car windows category dedicated to a specific vehicle model allows you to maintain the structural integrity of the body. In practice, this means:

• proper fitment to the door frame and seals,
• stable operation with the factory window regulator,
• maintaining the proper level of cabin acoustic insulation. Additionally, using glass intended for the Ford Kuga Mk2 facilitates service work – installation proceeds in accordance with the procedures provided by the vehicle manufacturer, without the need to modify accompanying components.

Component condition and use in repairs

The offered window glass is a used component, which makes it an attractive solution for post-accident repairs, correcting mechanical damage, or replacement after glass breakage. In many service scenarios, using original glass from the secondary market allows for cost optimization while maintaining compliance with the factory vehicle specification. This is a practical option for both workshops and individual users who plan to restore the full functionality of the front left door.

Installation tips and part selection

Before installation, it is recommended to verify the compatibility of the glass with the specific equipment version of the Ford Kuga Mk2, particularly regarding the edge shape and the method of mounting in the guides. It may be helpful to compare it with the removed component and consult a mechanic who will assess the condition of the seals, guides, and the window regulator mechanism. Proper component selection reduces the risk of subsequent problems with door closing, leaks, or improper operation of the regulator. If you are planning a comprehensive repair or modernization of the side glazing area in your Ford and need other components from the same group, such as rear side windows, right door windows, or additional quarter glass, check the available parts in the Ford Car windows category.
